Free rides on the bus and train*

As of 1 April 2018, the VRM Visitor Ticket is also available for visitors in the Rhein-Hunsrück-Kreis district. This was made possible thanks to a framework contract signed between the Verkehrsverbund-Rhein-Mosel (VRM) and the Rhein-Hunsrück Kreis district and the cities of St. Goar and Oberwesel.

With the VRM Visitor Tickets, visitors can enjoy free transit by bus and train throughout the entire VRM area. This area spans from Oberwesel or Kaub in the south to Rolandseck or Unkel in the north. The Hunsrückbahn railway is also included, as are parts of the Mosel and Lahn route.

Guests of participating establishments can therefore travel conveniently and above all free of charge to popular trip destinations such as Koblenz, Bacharach or Boppard. Hikers and cyclists can also benefit from the VRM Visitor Ticket, since they can pass through individual routes at no extra cost and without the bother of having to purchase train tickets.
